Getting started
On the home screen, choose New measurement. Select guided photos or guided video and use the rear camera or gallery files. Estimation is processed on this device.
How to estimate weight
Show the whole animal, follow the requested views, and tap Calculate weight when capture is ready. The result is an informative estimate; use a scale when accuracy is required.
Photo capture best practices
Use good light and hold the camera steady. Start with the left side, with the head on the left; add the right side and front as instructed. Do not crop the legs, head, or body.
Guided video
Record a short clip showing the left side, front, and right side, or select a gallery video. The app extracts frames for analysis. Missing views can make a capture ineligible for training.
Calibration
A physical 1 m reference strip, when present and detected, helps establish scale and may improve precision. Without it, an estimate can still be made in quick mode; this does not change the actual scale weight.
Estimated weight and confidence
Estimated weight, expected range, and precision and confidence percentages describe the capture estimate. Confidence is not a guarantee of accuracy. Compare with actual scale weight to measure the error.
Actual scale weight
After calculating the estimate, enter the weight measured on a scale in kg. You supply this value; the app does not calculate it. It helps compare the estimate and save a record for local validation and training.
History
Saved records appear in History. You can inspect details, search records, and delete local data. Deleting a record does not remove original photos already in your gallery.
ZIP export and sharing
In History, Export ready creates a ZIP at a location you choose. Only eligible records with valid actual weight, complete views, and reliable detection are included. The app does not upload the ZIP automatically. You can share it using your device after saving.
Animal identification
Current records may include breed, sex, and approximate age. The app does not yet assign a persistent unique animal ID; use your own field records to identify the animal when comparing measurements.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a camera? No: gallery photos and videos can also be used. Does the estimate replace a scale? No. Is the ZIP sent automatically? No. Why is a record not exported? Check actual weight, three views, and detection confidence.
Troubleshooting
If camera access is blocked, allow it in Android settings or use the gallery. If analysis fails, try another well-lit image showing the whole animal. If a sample is ineligible, check the views and actual weight.

Privacy, Terms, and data deletion
The app processes images locally and exports data only after your action. Records can be deleted in History; Android can also remove the app's data. Public Privacy, Terms, and Data Deletion pages will be available on the official site at launch; public links are not active yet.
